"Congressional Code of Conduct"

I am a member of the United States Congress. I pledge the following to the American people:

* I will serve the people I represent to the best of my ability.

* I will place Congressional demands before personal ones.

* I will place accepted principles above party politics.

* I will not accept, nor offer, any favors to influence voting

* I will not act in any way to dishonor my office or my country.

* I will not act in any way to weaken our nation's security.

Please copy the above pledge and then fax, e-mail or write your Senator and/or Congressman and ask them to "take the pledge". There is no good reason that a politician should refuse to accept the the six articles in the "Congressional Code of Conduct". If he or she does refuse to sign the pledge then I think you should reconsider returning them to office.

Thank you for your efforts on behalf of honesty in government.
